If you've got an Xbox and are keen to know when your gaming pals are online but can't or don't want to start your XBox, Friendz can help.
Friendz is a simple application that allows you to see when your XBox buddies are online and what they're doing. You receive Growl notifications when you get new messages and when a contact comes online. You can send and reply to messages as with any other IM client and send and receive friend requests.
As a messenger client, Friendz is very limited. There is no way to send files, use audio or even send images. However, it's not really designed for that - it's specifically for monitoring your XBox contacts and as such, does the job very well. You can see who is online, their avatar and what game they're playing.
Friendz is a handy solution for those that want to keep track of or chat to XBox friends without having to use your XBox.
